A note about Remoto Logs How to Gather a Playback Log

When contacting Remoto Support due to an issue with Playback, you may be asked to gather a  Playback log file, or reproduce an issue and gather the resulting log file.

A note about Remoto Logs

The log file generated by Playback is continuous, it is not refreshed at any point and as a result can be very dense and difficult to parse. If you are asked to gather a log, if the issue is reproducible, it's a good idea to delete the log first, open Remoto Playback, reproduce your issue (if possible) and gather that resulting log.

If you rename the log, Playback will produce a new one called log.log, this is one way to save information if needed, if you don't want to delete the entire log.

How to Gather a Playback Log

The log is located at: machintosh HD > Users > [user] > Library > Application Support > SPG Studios > Remoto Playback > log.log

Step 1: Using Apple's finder menu, click on the “Go” menu, and hold down option to reveal the hidden “Library” option, and click on it.

Step 2: Click on “Application Support”.

Step 3: Click on “SPG Studios".

Step 4: Click on “Remoto Playback”, if it is not already opened for you

Step 5: Gather the file called log.log, and attach to your case response to Remoto Support.
